Our History.

Food insecurity is all around us. From families with small children to the elderly living alone, the most vulnerable in our community often struggle with putting food on the table. When it comes to the Jewish Holidays, these costs are amplified, leaving many Jews without the resources to put together a Holiday meal.

KindNYss began in 2019 to combat this pressing issue. What started as an open Passover Seder quickly evolved to include dinners and food distribution on Rosh Hashanah and other holidays.

The recent challenges of COVID pushed KindNYss to further expand its work, by establishing a network of aid and relief efforts to help the broader NYC community.

KindNYss was set out with a clear goal to assist and uplift those most vulnerable in our community: One meal, one heart, one soul at a time.

Our mission.

KindNYss is all about helping people. From providing hot meals in a warm environment to meeting housing needs, we are always here for our fellow. KindNYss is a community of kindhearted souls who volunteer their time, resources, and hands to support, uplift, and serve the disadvantaged of NY.

Abraham, the first Jew, brought the oneness of existence to the masses by applying the attribute of Kindness, feeding hungers, slaking thirsts, housing dreams. We have inherited this gene. KindNYss is our tradition.

Help spread the kindnyss.
